Our programs are designed for individuals of all ages living with a visual impairment.

Eligibility requirements vary by camp session.

Specific age groups and program details are listed on our Programs page.

Our primary camp season runs during the summer months ( June – August), with additional special events such as our Christmas Camp in December.

Yes, there is a fee to attend camp. However, we encourage families to contact their local Lions Club for potential sponsorships, as many clubs are willing to cover camp fees. Additionally, thanks to generous donations and sponsors, the camp offers some sponsorships for families in need.

Our Camp Fee is $400 per session.
There is an additional $100 Transportation Fee if you choose to ride the camp bus to/from the Georgia Academy for the Blind in Macon.

We are committed to ensuring that no camper is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.

Please reach out to us for more information about financial assistance options.

After registration, we provide a detailed packing list. Typical items include:

  • Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing

  • Swimwear, towel, and water shoes

  • Personal hygiene supplies (toothbrush, shampoo, etc.)

  • Bedding (twin sheets or a sleeping bag, a pillow, and a blanket)

  • Any prescribed medications (in their original container or packaged from the pharmacy)

We offer two distinct adult camp sessions:

  • Legacy Retreat: Designed for legacy campers, this retreat-style camp focuses on relaxation, reflection, and community-building in a serene environment. It will be the same camp program that our adult campers have always enjoyed.

  • Camp Connections: Designed for independent adults with an active lifestyle, this session offers a dynamic mix of adventure, sporting activities, and networking opportunities.

Both camps provide opportunities for personal growth, social engagement, and fun while catering to different preferences and needs.

Family Camp at Georgia Lions Camp is a pilot program designed to give families of youth living with visual impairments the chance to experience the camp together in an inclusive and supportive environment. Families can participate in outdoor activities, build connections, and strengthen relationships while enjoying the camp’s natural surroundings. This program serves as a gateway to help both children and parents build confidence and trust, preparing the participant for a transition into one of our more independent camp sessions in the future. Through shared experiences, families will foster a sense of community and empowerment while helping participants gain greater independence.

Please note that space is limited to 6 families.

Each family may bring one qualifying participant (a youth under 18 living with a visual impairment), two adults, and one additional child.

We offer a wide range of outdoor and adventure-based activities, including:
